Hi there! I'm Remco Wierenga, a seasoned UX/UI designer with a vibrant 2 decade journey in the creative industry, with the last 12 years dedicated to the fascinating world of UX/UI design.
I currently work with a dynamic company that excels in digitizing and streamlining business processes by developing applications on the Mendix platform. Over the past 5 years, I've become an expert in designing for the Mendix platform, perfectly blending my technical skills with design finesse to create seamless and visually stunning applications.
Before I fell in love with UX/UI design, I was deeply immersed in the world of illustration. My creative roots trace back to the Grafisch Lyceum Amsterdam, where I honed my skills in graphic design and illustration. Even today, I love to unwind by crafting 3D and clay sculptures. I'm also a fitness enthusiast who loves spending time outdoors. Balancing work and family life is crucial to me, especially as a proud dad of two – an adventurous 1 year old son and a spirited 5 year old daughter.
Exciting times are ahead as my family and I contemplate a move to sunny Aruba. This tropical shift fuels my desire for remote work opportunities, so I can continue to contribute to innovative projects from a picturesque paradise. I'm always on the lookout for new challenges where I can blend my creativity and technical expertise to craft user-friendly, impactful solutions.
